What's more fun than two weeks in Hawaii? Two weeks in Hawaii with your relatives and three sleep-deprived kids! No seriously, it was a good time. Kona and Lihui are truly paradise, but the cheapest bread was $4 a loaf. Thank God for Costco. The kids had a blast snorkeling while the old people tempted Darwin by trying to surf. Many pictures of the adventure are inside. Since vacation, we have spent too much time at work, and whatever time was leftover driving from home to ballet and preschool. Bailey is now officially a preschool graduate. She proudly told her class that she wants to be a ballet dancer "when she grows up" which is unfortunate because she has a little too much of daddy's "sense of choreography". Aidan has recently graduated to his "big boy bed". We've were very proud of him for staying in his room after he was liberated, but it is still a work in progress (We have found him asleep with nearly every book and toy he owns in the new bed). Since gas now costs nearly as much as a gallon of milk in Hawaii, we will be close to home this Summer (gymnastics and swimming for the kids, running and yardwork for the old people). Come visit, who knows, we might get a couple of weeks of weather above 50 degrees... |
